3D LiDAR scanning
Highly accurate 3D point clouds of structures, tunnels & land deposits, for design, maintenance & upgrade work.
How LiDAR scanning works
3D LiDAR scanning lets you create a 3D point cloud of real-life objects with high accuracy. The data can later be used by engineers, architects & other professionals.
Like radar, LiDAR measures the time it takes for light to travel from the equipment to the object & back again. Data exported from the equipment in the .LAS file format can then be used for design & measurements.

Questions about LiDAR scanning
Do LiDAR scans look like the real thing?
No. LiDAR scanning records millions of individual reflected beams of light & builds them into a point cloud. The points can be coloured to help you view them, but the result will not look like a photo.
What are the scans used for?
Professionals use them to measure large objects accurately for design, maintenance & quality checking.
What file format do I receive?
Data is delivered in the .LAS file format, which engineers & architects commonly use.
